Nicaragua 2012: Day 4

No physical work today. The morning spent at an orphanage for severely handicapped children, many of whom have been abandoned. For some us, the visit to the orphanage is the hardest part of the week. We had a couple of hours to tour downtown Chinandega, shop and have lunch. The afternoon was spent at a water park with children from Chonco. Coming with us is a reward for doing well in school this week. The day ended with some fun competition like celebrating Christmas in Nicaragua by creating an Amigos snowman!

It hurts to see these pictures and not be there with you all! I am praying for all of you on this journey. I hope the girls are being challenged and nurtured, and that they are all growing closer to Christ through it all. Miss y’all so much! Send my love to Nicaragua, please!
