The Academy of the Sacred Heart is a member of the Network of Sacred Heart Schools. The network consists of twenty-two educational institutions in the United States and Canada and over two hundred schools internationally. All of the network schools are rooted in the philosophy and vision of St. Madeline Sophie and are guided by the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart Education. As a member of the Network of Sacred Heart Schools in the United States, the Academy of the Sacred Heart commits itself to educating students, with a focus on educating the whole child, in:

- a social awareness which impels to action
- the building of community as a Christian value
- personal growth in an atmosphere of wise freedom.
The Academy of the Sacred Heart is accredited by the Louisiana Department of Education, Cognia and the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS) and is a member of the Network of Sacred Heart Schools, and other professional associations.The Academy of the Sacred Heart admits students of any race, religion, nationality, or ethnic origin who are qualified academically. Applicants to the school are considered on the basis of their application, previous school records, teachers’ recommendations, and personal interview. Entrance tests are required and administered at the school by appointment. The Admissions Committee interviews prospective students and makes recommendations for admission.
