Equestrian center rules

2019 Camp Dates and Fees:

Week 1: June 10th – June 12th
Week 2: June 17th – June 19th
Week 3: June 24th – June 26th
Week 4: July 1st – July 3rd
Week 5: July 8th– July 10th

All weeks are open to all levels and disciplines

 

All camps are $250 per week ($200 if providing own horse), includes lunch.
A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to hold your spot. Online registrations will be paid in full.

Camp Details:

  • Monday- Wednesday of each week.
  • 9:00AM-3:00PM.
  • Lunch is provided by Sage dining! (If your child is a picky eater, please provide a lunch and snack)

Camp Schedule:

9:00        Arrive and prepare to ride!

9:30-10:30       Group 1 Rides

10:30-11:30     Group 2 Rides

11:00-12:00     Untack horses

12:00-1:00       Lunch

1:00-2:45       Activity period and swimming (may include the following: painting a horse, horse science, arts and crafts,    and much more!)

3:00                 Dismissal

All campers will need to bring:

  • Water bottle
  • Snacks or money for the concession stand at Blue Ribbon Camp
  • Swimsuit and towel
  • Sunscreen
  • Change of shoes
  • Change of clothes

English Riders need to bring:

  • Paddock boots with a ½ inch heel
  • Breeches

Western Riders need to bring:

  • Cowboy boots with ½ inch heel
  • Please no “fashion” boots
  • Jeans
  • Please no jeans with holes or rips in them

 

Blue Ribbon Camp Bus Services:

All campers are eligible to ride the Blue Ribbon camp bus for an additional $30 fee. The bus services are as follows:

  • All weeks: Lafayette
  • Weeks 1: New Iberia/Broussard
  • Weeks 2: Eunice/Opelousas/Abbeville
  • Week 3: Marksville
  • Week 4: Lafayette
  • Week 5: Lafayette

    • All weeks: Lafayette • Weeks 1: New Iberia/Broussard • Weeks 2: Eunice/Opelousas/Abbeville • Week 3: Marksville • Week 4: Lafayette • Week 5: Lafayette Bus Riders: please enter your location below. Cost is $30.00 extra per child, per week. Transportation: Lafayette Bus The Lafayette bus will leave the parking lot behind Rouse’s Supermarket on Bertrand at 8:15 AM and return at 3:30 PM. Transportation: New Iberia / Broussard Bus The bus will leave the Rose’s parking lot, at JCT 677 as you enter New Iberia near Rite Aid and Pop-eyes, at 8:00 AM and return at 4:00 PM. It will be at Wal-Mart on Hwy 90 in Broussard at 8:20 AM, and return to Wal-Mart at 3:30 PM. Transportation: Marksville The bus will pick up at the CVS in Marksville at the intersection of Highway 115 and Highway 1. The address is 120 Tunica Drive East. The bus will leave at 7:30 AM and return by 4:10 PM. Transportation: Abbeville The bus will leave Mount Carmel Elementary School parking lot, at 405 Park Avenue, at 8:00 AM and return at 4:00 PM. Transportation: Eunice/ Opelousas In Eunice, the bus will leave the Amy Shopping Center parking lot (where the Family Dollar Store is located) at 8:00 AM and return at 3:35 PM. In Opelousas, the bus pickup will leave the Ashley’s Furniture parking lot at 8:30 AM and return at 3:15 PM. Transportation: Crowley/Rayne Bus The bus will pick up campers in Crowley next to St. Michael’s Church at 8:00 AM and return at 4:00 PM. The bus will arrive at the Winn Dixie in Rayne at 8:10 AM and return at 3:55 PM.
  • Enter your email address REQUIRED OF ALL CAMPERS The following is the health and emergency permission information for the Equestrian Camp. In the event that I cannot be reached or in case of an emergency, by entering my name in the space above, I give my permission for my child to have emergency treatment by a doctor requested by the camp and/or hospitalization judged by a doctor to be necessary.
  • Accident insurance is mandatory for all children participating in Equestrian Camp.

  • By entering your name in the space provided above your are stating that you understand and acknowledge that activities at the camp have an increased risk of injury and will not hold Schools of the Sacred Heart, Academy of the Sacred Heart, or Berchman's Academy liable in the event of an accident. The Equestrian Camp reserves the right to alter the schedule without notice if unexpected circumstances warrant a change. The camp is not responsible for articles of clothing or personal belongings lost or damaged. There will be no refund or reduction made for the withdrawal of a camper, late arrival or early departure, or should a camper be asked to leave due to misconduct. I agree to the conditions and wish to enroll my child in the Equestrian Camp.
  • A liability waiver must be signed prior to your child beginning Equestrian Camp. The form can be downloaded, signed and uploaded here or it can be turned in on the first day of camp.
