Blue Ribbon Camp

Summer camps have become an American way of life for thousands of children each summer. The Blue Ribbon Camp is dedicated to the growth and development of children. We strive to build confidence, cooperation, and understanding. The Blue Ribbon Camp staff recognizes the value of an enriching camp experience, and they are committed to providing a positive, happy, growth-producing week of exciting activities. It is our goal that each camper leaves Blue Ribbon Camp with memories he/she will treasure for life.
Schools of the Sacred Heart are rooted in the philosophy and vision of St. Madeline Sophie Barat and are guided by the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart Schools.

A Typical Camp Day For The Different Age Groups

Pre-K4 / Kindergarten:
Opening Ceremonies, Creative Movement, Snack, Arts & Crafts, Nature Study, Lunch, Naptime, Book or Movie, Swimming

Groups 1,2,3,4 1st-4th Grade (next school year):
Opening Ceremonies, Karate, Swimming, Team Sports, Hip-Hop Dance, Lunch, Indoor Games, Outdoor Skills, Concession Break, Ball Sports Tournament

Groups 5/6 and 7/8 5th-8th Grade (next school year):
Opening Ceremonies, Canoeing, Sand Volleyball, Swimming, Team Sports, Lunch, Outdoor Skills, Indoor Games, Concession Break, Karate

CAMP DAY: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
COST: $195 per week (includes lunch & one camp t-shirt)

*There is a discount if 2 or more children from the same family attend the same week. First child $195 per week, second child $175 per week and third/fourth child $155 per week.

WHAT TO BRING: Tennis shoes (no flip-flops or skate shoes), swimsuit and towel. Wear camp t-shirt and shorts each day.

    Bus Riders: please enter your location below. Bus transportation from Lafayette is available all four weeks. Weekly bus schedule for other cities is shown below. Cost is $40.00 extra per child, per week. *If your city is not listed and there are enough campers desiring a bus from that location (at least fifteen campers), contact Blue Ribbon Camp Office.

In the event that I cannot be reached or in case of an emergency, by entering my name in the space above, I give my permission for my child to have emergency treatment by a doctor requested by the camp and/or hospitalization judged by a doctor to be necessary.
  • Accident insurance is mandatory for all children participating in Blue Ribbon Camp.

  • By entering your name in the space provided above your are stating that you understand and acknowledge that activities at the camp have an increased risk of injury and will not hold Schools of the Sacred Heart, Academy of the Sacred Heart, or Berchman's Academy liable in the event of an accident. The Blue Ribbon Camp reserves the right to alter the schedule without notice if unexpected circumstances warrant a change. The camp is not responsible for articles of clothing or personal belongings lost or damaged. There will be no refund or reduction made for the withdrawal of a camper, late arrival or early departure, or should a camper be asked to leave due to misconduct. *Important – 1.)
